Telinta Implements Transparent Conversion between H.323 and SIP

Telinta Implements H.323 and SIP ConversionTelinta introduced transparent conversion from SIP to H.323 and vice versa.  The new feature enables direct interoperability between PortaSIP and H.323 clients and vendors.  Protocol conversion is natively integrated into the PortaSIP server and does not require additional IP addresses to distinguish between the different protocols.  H.323 calls can be sent directly to the SIP server IP for a transparent conversion.

H.323 is a legacy VoIP protocol used by older equipment.  Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a newer, less complex, and more popular protocol for VoIP networks.
